The monthly Community Coffee hosted by NewCanaanite.com is to be held 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Art Gallery on the first floor of New Canaan Library. (Attendees should enter by the original Main Street entrance.)
Typically held on the first Thursday of each month, the free and public coffee is an informal, “off-the-record” gathering of residents where we talk about what’s happening around town. We serve Zumbach’s Gourmet Coffee, courtesy of Doug Zumbach, and the coffee itself is presented in partnership with the library.
Topics come from those in attendance and this month may include the antique home at Valley and Benedict Hill Roads, budget season just ended, April 26 forum on public buildings, school district’s handling of a basketball coach whose certification had lapsed, “Full Disclosure,” Parking Commission decisions, Spencer’s Run or whatever else is on people’s minds.
We send out an Evite reminder each month to those who like to come to the coffee, and anyone who wants his or her email added to the list, please just let me know at editor@newcanaanite.com. See you Thursday.
