For today’s Q&A with a local business owner, we hear from Anthony Pisano of Your CBD Store New Canaan. The shop recently opened on Elm Street. Here’s our exchange.

New Canaanite: You just opened last week. What has the early response been like to Your CBD Store New Canaan?
Anthony Pisano: Early response has been that this has been a need in New Canaan. A store that educates on CBD and how it may help people with different ailments they are having.
How has the COVID-19 virus and related restrictions altered how this has gone, as you originally envisioned it?
We are making sure the customers feel safe in our store by only having the employees touch the products. We are wearing masks, sanitizing frequently and leaving the door open for ventilation. Practicing social distancing is of course a given.

What are your best-selling items, in the very early going?
Our best-selling item is our award-winning topical cream that won best CBD topical at the CBD expo and also our night time tincture. The night time tincture is something you will not find anywhere else. That canabinoid is CBN, it also contains lavender and valerian root.
Tell me about your plans for an official grand opening.
Our official grand opening is going to be on July 10th and I can’t give away all the surprises, but we will have CBD infused beverages and free samples and gift bags for all.
What would you tell the local community about your business?
Our company is based on transparency and customer service, we are going to match each customer with the product that best fits their needs through a consultation. We are helping people find a long-term solution to health problems they have been dealing with for years. Nothing makes me feel better than having someone come back into the store and tell me how great the product has been working for them. That has happened three times already in one week of being open. Our store carries certified organic products. With the certification from the Department of Agriculture logo on the bottle. Only about 5% of CBD companies have a certified organic product.
