Police on Saturday morning arrested a 24-year-old Fairfield woman by warrant and charged her with driving under the influence as well as use and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At about 10:05 a.m. on Aug. 27, the woman turned herself in on a warrant obtained in connection with an incident in March, according to a police report. On March 25, at about 11:55 a.m., officers were dispatched to Salem Road on a report of a vehicle parked in the road whose driver may need health care, the report said.
Police found a hypodermic needle in her car and secured a search warrant in order to test the woman for drugs or alcohol, it said.
Her blood and urine tested positive for drugs, according to police.
She was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 6 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
