Police on Saturday night arrested a 39-year-old New Canaan woman and charged her with driving under the influence.
At about 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 30, officers were dispatched to the area of Old Norwalk Road and Route 123 on a report of a vehicle swerving in the travel lane and crossing over the double-yellow line, police said.
Authorities later found the vehicle in the woman’s driveway on Brushy Ridge Road, according to a police report.
On speaking to the woman, officers detected signs of impairment, the report said. After administering field sobriety tests, police arrested her on the misdemeanor charge, the report said. A test to establish her blood-alcohol level found that she was at .255, compared to a legal limit of .08, the report said.
She was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear March 2 in state Superior Court.
