Police late Thursday arrested a 43-year-old Stamford woman and charged her with driving under the influence.
At about 9:20 p.m. on Sept. 22, officers were dispatched to the area of Frogtown Road and Weed Street on a report of a possibly intoxicated driver, police said.
Authorities also received a description of the vehicle, according to a police report.
Responding officers saw it stopped on Frogtown Road near Hanford Lane, the report said.
On speaking with the driver, police found signs of impairment, it said. She was taken into custody on the misdemeanor charge and transferred to police headquarters. There, she provided a sample that established her blood-alcohol level at .27, more than three times the legal limit of .08.
The woman was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 6 in state Superior Court.
