Police on Feb. 17 arrested a 40-year-old Norwalk woman and charged her with evading responsibility.
At about 3:52 a.m. on Feb. 16, a Friday, officers responded to the area of Talmadge Hill and Lapham Roads regarding a reported single-car crash, police said.
There, officers found an unoccupied vehicle with heavy front end damage and damage to a utility pole, according to a police report.
Through an investigation, police identified the woman as the driver, the report said.
Probable cause was established to bring the misdemeanor charge. She was arrested at 9:30 p.m. the following day.
The woman was released after promising to appear March 6 in state Superior Court.
