Police on Wednesday arrested a 23-year-old Wilton man in connection with a car crash in New Canaan.
At about 4:40 p.m. on April 7, officers were dispatched to Hoyt Street and East Avenue on a report of a crash, police said.
A vehicle crashed into a parked car and left the scene, according to a police report.
Evidence collected by police at the scene included the license plate of the suspect vehicle, the report said. It was registered to a Wilton resident, it said.
Wilton and New Canaan Police traveled to a residence in Wilton and located the suspect vehicle as well as the man who had been driving it at the time of the crash, the report said.
They charged him with reckless driving and evading responsibility.
He was released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear May 8 in state Superior Court.
