Police on Friday arrested a 48-year-old Norwalk man by warrant and charged him with second-degree harassment.
On Dec. 18, officers took a complaint of harassment between the man and a victim, according to a police report.
Following an investigation, police secured a warrant to arrest him on the misdemeanor charge.
It’s unclear what happened or whether the victim is related to the arrested man. Police withheld details, saying it’s a domestic matter.
Under state law, a person is guilty of second-degree harassment if he or she “[b]y telephone, he addresses another in or uses indecent or obscene language” or “with intent to harass, annoy or alarm another person, he makes a telephone call, whether or not a conversation ensues, in a manner likely to cause annoyance or alarm,” among other reasons.
The man was held on $20,000 bond and scheduled to appear the same day, Feb. 3, in state Superior Court.
