Police on Nov. 10 arrested a 54-year-old Norwalk woman by warrant and charged her with fifth-degree larceny.
She turned herself in on an active warrant regarding a theft reported to police Sept. 25, officials said. Police have said that at about 1:20 p.m. that Monday, two cashmere sweaters were reported stolen from an Elm Street art gallery.
Under state law, a person is guilty of fifth-degree larceny if he or she steals something worth more than $500.
The woman was released on $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear Nov. 21 in state Superior Court.
