On behalf of Planet New Canaan, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who attended our Green Gala last Thursday at the Carriage Barn Arts Center.
Also, thanks to everyone who was unable to attend but made a donation to Planet New Canaan.
Of course, the night would not have been possible without our amazing sponsors: Karl Chevrolet, Walter Stewart’s Market, Earth Garden, Wells Fargo, Hutchinson Tree Service, Bedford New Canaan Magazine and The Hetherington Group at Merrill.
Special thanks to our amazing guest bartenders: First Selectman Dionna Carlson and Selectmen Steve Karl and Amy Murphy Carroll.
Also, I’d like to thank all the local businesses and organizations who donated items to support our silent auction: School of Rock, Lily Pulitzer, New Canaan Music, New Canaan Artisans, The Nantucket Shop, Town Players of New Canaan, Taylor Luggage, Mary Watters Bartending, Pennyweights, G. Albert, Healthfare, The Glass House, Mountain Falls Farm, New Canaan Nature Center and New Canaan Land Trust.
I’d also like to acknowledge our Sustainable Award winners: Leo Karl III and Jen and Peter Cipriano of Copia Home and Garden for all the work they have done in New Canaan and within their own businesses to promote sustainability.
Funds raised through the Green Gala will go right back into our initiatives including the Swap Shop, food scrap, pumpkin and Christmas Tree recycling, river clean ups as well as new initiatives and educational programs.
Sincerely,
Robin Bates-Mason
President, Planet New Canaan
