NewCanaanite.com reported back in February that 12 NCHS seniors were continuing their football careers at the collegiate level.
Add #13 to the mix.
Rams defensive lineman Tim Condon confirmed that he will be playing at Susquehanna University next season.
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to play at the next level,” Condon told NewCanaanite.com. “I owe a great deal of thanks to Coach Marinelli and all of the New Canaan coaches for preparing me.”
Susquehanna – who plays in the Division III Landmark Conference – will be looking to rebuild after a 1-9 2013 season. The 6’4” 250-lb. Condon will likely be an immediate impact player for the Crusaders, as their Twitter page indicates Condon “has the length and size to become a versatile lineman.”
Condon rounds out a remarkable NCHS football class of 2014. Given the success of the 2013 Rams, who won the FCIAC and Class L state titles in one of the most-dominant seasons in school history, it’s no surprise that so many players are moving on to the next level.
“It will be hard to top this past season,” Condon said. “I think that we all learned early on what a special game football is. No one is ready to give it up just yet.”
