New Canaan Boy, 7, Earns Third Straight CT State Wrestling Title

On February 15, New Canaan’s Brady Kaupp capped off his season by winning a third consecutive CT state wrestling championship.

Competing in the 45-pound weight class, Brady finished his season undefeated in the state of Connecticut. Brady did not allow his CT opponents to score one offensive point against him all season.

Brady is 7 years old and goes to South School. He defeated Darien Sherwood of the Tomahawk Wrestling Club via pin in the finals.

Brady splits his time training with the New Canaan Youth Wrestling program and the Bitetto Trained Wrestling Club in Teterboro, N.J.

Brady next has his sights set on the New England Youth Wrestling Championships in April.
