New Canaan Police Chief John DiFederico will speak to the New Canaan Men’s Club Friday, March 24, describing his plans for the department, and progress toward the renovation of its South Avenue headquarters.
The Men’s Club meets Fridays at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church at 10 a.m. with the speaker making remarks around 10:40 a.m., following the business portion of the session.
Named chief this past January, DiFederico has 30 years with the New Canaan Police Department. He was named deputy chief in 2018. On its website, the Department describes its vision for the town as being “a safe, peaceful and crime free community,” with a mission statement of “to protect and serve the community with courage, professionalism and integrity.”
DiFederico has a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Norwich University and a M.P.A. from the University of New Haven.
