Winter Volunteer Orientation Jan 3rd and 5th.

Right now we are looking for volunteers ages 14 and older, for our therapeutic adaptive riding and equine care program called Super Troopers. The Super Troopers program provides equine therapeutic services to children and adults with special needs, with the assistance of PATH International certified instructors and dedicated volunteers. We have both an adaptive riding program as well as an equine care program for those students that do not want to ride but would still like to spend time with the horses.

Our volunteers choose their time and days to volunteer. We have two areas that the volunteers help out with. One is our Adaptive Riding Program where they will walk/jog alongside a mounted student during their class time. Class time is usually 30 – 60 min long. Our other volunteer opportunity is during our Equine Care Program. This type of class is approx 45 min long. You would be paired with a student to help with class activities as well as keep them safe while in the barn.

We will be entering our Winter/Spring Semester in January/March and will be onboarding our new volunteers during our volunteer orientations on January 3rd & 5th, and March 5th, 7th & 9th. Before volunteering you will need to complete an orientation on either sidewalking or equine care (or both!) depending on where you would like to volunteer. Thank you! “Summer on the Farm” Orientation The “Summer on the Farm” program includes riding, equine care, photography, music, arts & crafts, gardening, and cooking. “Summer on the Farm” runs Monday – Thursday from 10am-noon.
