Police cited a 20-year-old Riverside man at 4:48 p.m. on April 1 for possession of less than. 5 ounces of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a license and speeding.
He was stopped for speeding on Silvermine Road near Beacon Hill Lane, according to New Canaan Police Sgt. Carol Ogrinc.
He told the officer upon questioning that he had a marijuana grinder in his vehicle, and later turned over rolling papers and a small amount of pot in his backpack, police said.

A 60-year-old New Canaan man was arrested and charged with second-degree threatening at 10:23 p.m. on April 5.
Prompted by a Forest Street neighbor who called police after hearing yelling next door, responding officers determined that the man had threatened to kill his girlfriend.
He was released on $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear April 7 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.

Police arrested a 34-year-old Forest Street man by warrant at 11:27 p.m. on April 2, and charged him with violation of probation.
It isn’t clear what the original terms of the probation are or in what way the arrested man violated them.
He’s scheduled to appear April 14 in a Rockville, CT court.
