Police late Thursday arrested a 59-year-old New Canaan woman after officers traced the alcohol consumed by a drunk teen to a house party at her residence.
At about 11:12 p.m. on Sept. 17, officers were dispatched to the train station parking lot downtown on a report of a 16-year-old male found on the ground vomiting from alcohol consumption, officials said.
He subsequently was transported to Norwalk Hospital by New Canaan Emergency Medical Services, according to a police report.
Police investigated where the juvenile had got drunk, and as a result checked on an Overlook Drive home where a youth party had occurred, the report said.
There, police contacted the woman and, at 12:30 a.m. Friday, charged her with permitting a minor to possess alcohol, it said.
A second individual, a 17-year-old female New Canaan resident, was charged for the same offense, police said.
The woman was released after promising to appear Oct. 15 in state Superior Court.
