Town officials last week issued a building permit for a new, 3,800-square-foot home on Crystal Street.
The new construction at 14 Crystal St. will include five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, two fireplaces and a finished attic, according to a building permit issued Nov. 2.
The home will cost about $639,000 to build and the contractor on the job is Redding-based Fletcher Development, according to the permit.
The .21-acre lot was sold in August for $840,000 to a limited liability company whose principal is a Stamford man, according to records on file with the Connecticut Secretary of the State. The 1939 Colonial that had been on the property was demolished the following month—the new home planned for the lot is nearly twice its size.

The town on Oct. 30 issued a permit to build a 6,536-square-foot home on a vacant 3.66-acre Weed Street lot.
The new home at 931 Weed St.—part of what had been a 9-acre property that was subdivided following Planning & Zoning approval last summer— will include five bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, one half-bath, three fireplaces, a finished basement and 4-car garage, according to a permit issued Oct. 30.
The property was sold for $1,450,000 in April (along with another parcel carved out of the original lot at 929 Weed).
The contractor on the job is Westport’s Coastal Construction, according to the permit.
