The New Canaan Building Department last week received an application to build a 4,640-square-foot home on Knapp Lane.
The five-bedroom house planned for 29 Knapp Lane will include five full bathrooms and two half-baths, according to a building permit application filed Oct. 24.
It will cost about $760,000 to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job is New Canaan-based LTW Builders Inc., the architect Curtis A. Streuli of Norwalk.
The 1.38-acre property was purchased in June for $840,000, tax records show.
It currently includes a 1,938-square-foot ranch-style house, the records show.
