The town last week received an application to build a 6,500-square-foot home on Lukes Wood Road.

The six-bedroom home planned for 45 Lukes Wood Road would include five full bathrooms, two half-baths, four fireplaces, a three-bay garage and a finished basement of 2,500 square feet, according to a building permit application filed Sept. 23 with the town.
The home would cost about $950,000 to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job would be Woodcrest Homes LLC of Jericho, N.Y., the architect Dennis Peters Designs of Wilton, it said.
The 2.58-acre property had been purchased last month for $980,000, tax records show.
It’s owned by a limited liability company whose address is the same as a Jericho-based law firm that specializes in real estate.
The town on Tuesday issued permits to demolish the 1894-built house on the property as well as a shed, barn and poultry house, building records show.
