The town on May 28 received an application to build a 5,550-square-foot home on Smith Ridge Lane.
The new five-bedroom house at 6 Smith Ridge Lane is to include four full bathrooms and two half-baths, according to a building permit application.
It will include $842,000 to build, according to the application.
The contractor and architect on the job is New Canaan-based Matthew R Dougherty Architect LLC, the application said.
The two-acre property, located in the four-acre zone, was acquired six years ago for $1,685,000, tax records show.
The town in November 2016 had issued a demolition permit for the 1953-built Colonial that had stood there, according to building records.
