The New Canaan Building Department on Monday received an application to build a new home on a .49-acre Woodland Road lot.
The five-bedroom house at 150 Woodland Road will include four full bathrooms, two half-baths and a finished basement—13 rooms total, and a two-car garage, according the building permit application.
It will cost about $1.3 million to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job is New Canaan-based Cognetta Homes, the architect Tanner White Architects of Westport, it said.
The property last was purchased in September for $1.4 million, tax records show. The new owner in January received a permit to demolish the 1952-built, 2,458-square-foot Cape on the property, according to town building records.
