Police late Sunday arrested a 49-year-old Westchester man following a domestic violence incident in town.
At about 8:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to a Heritage Hill Road home to look into a dispute between two people there, according to a police report.
Following an investigation, police determined that that Hartsdale, N.Y. man had assaulted the victim, pulling out a clump of hair from that individual’s head during the dispute, the report said.
Police charged him with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
It isn’t clear whether the victim was male or female, whether either party involved lives at the New Canaan home, whether they’re related or what caused the dispute. Police withheld further information, classifying the matter as a domestic incident.
The arrested man was released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear Monday in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
