Police on Thursday afternoon charged a 52-year-old New Canaan woman with driving under the influence at Saxe Middle School, where she had gone to pick up her child.
The woman, of Harrison Avenue, is the same woman named in a civil lawsuit in connection with the horrific October 2014 car accident on Silvermine Road that caused a young man from Stamford life-threatening injuries. That lawsuit accuses her of driving under the influence—a charge that the state’s attorney did not bring in the case, though local police had determined that she was intoxicated at the time of the crash. Police last March charged her with misdemeanor reckless driving for that accident.
At about 1:48 p.m. on Jan. 7, police were dispatched to Saxe on a report of an intoxicated parent who had arrived at school to pick up her child.
She failed field sobriety tests and police at 2:45 p.m. arrested her for driving under the influence, according to Lt. Jason Ferraro. She refused to undergo a breath test, Ferraro told NewCanaanite.com.
She was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Jan. 19 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.

This women needs help.
Pretty tough for her kids to go thru. Right in front of his/her school.
She needs help? She needs jail… she was released on 250 bond? Why? So she can actually kill someone? The teenager she almost killed is the one that needs help. He had another surgery yesterday due to her last act of irresponsibility.
This woman needs to be in jail before she takes someones life
