Police on Sunday night arrested an 18-year-old New Canaan man after coming upon an underage drinking party on Michigan Road.
At about 9:02 p.m. on July 5, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Michigan Road on a report of loud music at a residence, according to a police report.
Arriving there, officers saw youths running from a residence into the woods, and in the backyard saw more young people removing alcohol from tables and bringing it inside the house, the report said.
Following an investigation, police brought a misdemeanor charge of permitting a minor to possess alcohol.
The teen was released after promising to appear Aug. 10 in state Superior Court.
