Police on Thursday arrested a 60-year-old Westport woman by warrant in connection with a theft from a New Canaan bedroom this summer.

On July 26, authorities received a report about the theft of items from a local home during a Realtor open house, police said.

The theft was captured on video surveillance from inside the residence and the Westport woman was identified as the Realtor who had taken Euro currency with a U.S. value of about $136, according to a police report.

Police charged her with sixth-degree larceny, a misdemeanor.

She turned herself in at about 11:20 a.m. on Nov. 1 and was released after promising to appear Nov. 12 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
