New Construction Planned for Gower Road

The New Canaan Building Department on Aug. 15 received an application to build a 6,280-square-foot home on Gower Road. The five-bedroom home planned for 25 Gower Road will include six full bathrooms, two half-baths, a finished 1,207-square-foot basement and 806-square-foot attic, two fireplaces and two-bay garage, according to the building permit application. 

It will cost $900,000 to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is Weston-based Eimeg LLC, the architect Dennis Peters of Wilton. The .29-acre property was purchased for $1,759,000 last month, tax records show.

New Construction Coming to Indian Rock Road

The New Canaan Building Department has approved a permit to build a 4,500-square-foot house on Indian Rock Road. The new three-bedroom home planned for 94 Indian Rock Road will include three full bathrooms, one half-bath, one fireplace and an approximately 300-square-foot patio, according to the permit, issued May 27. 

It will cost about $1.2 million to build, the permit said. The contractor on the job is KASEE LLC of Brookfield, the architect Macmillan Architects of Ridgefield. The 3.39-acre lot sold in April 2024 for $1.2 million, tax records show. It includes a 1952-built, two-bedroom ranch-style house, according to the assessor’s field card.

New Construction Planned for Pastures Lane

The New Canaan Building Department on June 20 received an application for a 3,033-square-foot house on Pastures Lane. The four-bedroom home on Pastures Lane, a vacant lot, will include four full bathrooms, one half-bath, two fireplaces, an 1,106-square-foot finished basement and three-car garage, according to the building permit application. It will cost about $1,168,750 to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is Coastal Luxury Homes LLC, the architect CMS Arc, both of Westport. The 2.55-acre lot was purchased in March by a trust for $1.5 million, tax records show.

Four-Townhouse Development Planned for South Avenue

The New Canaan Building Department between April 9 and 16 received applications to build four townhouses on South Avenue. Among the four townhouses planned for 116 South Ave., three will include four bedrooms and one will have three bedrooms, according to building permit applications. They each will include three full bathrooms (the four-bedroom units will additionally have a half-bath), a finished basement, fireplace and two-car garage—3,000 square feet of living space, according to building permit applications. One of the four-bedroom dwellings will be freestanding, according to the application. 

They’ll each cost $650,000 to build, the applications said. The contractor on the job is Sillo Construction LLC, they said, and the architect Steven Lecher Associates LLC, both of New Canaan.

New Construction Planned for Woodland Road

The New Canaan Building Department on April 6 received an application to build a 5,000-square-foot home on Woodland Road. The six-bedroom house planned for 111 Woodland Road also will include six full bathrooms, one half-bath, one fireplace, 1,200-square-foot finished basement and three-bay garage, according to the building permit application. 

It will cost about $1.1 million to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is New Canaan-based Cognetta Hoes LLC, the architect CMS Architects of Stamford. A demolition permit was issued April 4 for the 1926-built Cape on the .73-acre parcel. It was purchased for $2,050,000 in February by a limited liability company with the same address as the contractor, tax records show.
