The New Canaan Building Department on April 19 approved a permit to construct a new 6,150-square-foot home on a vacant lot on Ponus Ridge.
The six-bedroom house at 1041 Ponus Ridge will include seven bathrooms, two half-baths, a finished 1,900-square-foot basement and three-bay garage, according to the permit.
It will cost about $1,850,000 to build, the permit said.
The contractor on the job is New Canaan-based 5K Development LLC, the architect Michael Smith Architects of Norwalk.
The vacant 2.3-acre lot was purchased in February 2023 for $1.2 million, tax records show.
