The house planned for 16 Orchard Lane includes 6,043 square feet of living space, five bedrooms, two full bathrooms and two half baths, according to the building permit application. It will include a total of 13 rooms and will cost about $1 million to build, the application said. The Cape that had stood there was demolished in May, according to town building records. The property itself had been purchased in February for $850,000, tax records show.

The new 6-bedroom home at 92 Briscoe Road will include five full bathrooms, two half-baths, two fireplaces and a partially finished basement and attic, according to the building permit application. It will cost about $850,000 to build, according to the application, and the architect and contractor on the job is the property owner. A 10,585-square-foot house is planned for a West Hills Road lot where a 1956-built ranch-style home about one-third that size now stands. The new house at 198 West Hills Road will include five bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half-baths, according to a building permit application filed March 16 with the town. It is to be built for an estimated $1,190,000 by Jericho, N.Y.-based Woodcrest Homes LLC. The home was designed by D Peters Designs LLC of Wilton, according to the application. The 2.17-acre property was purchased for $1 million in January, tax records show.
The New Canaan Building Department on Jan. 23 received an application for a new 3,300-square-foot home on East Maple Street where a house roughly half that size had stood. The 2.5-story house planned for 39 Maple St. will include four bedrooms and full bathrooms, an unfinished attic and two-car garage, according to the building permit application. It will cost about $950,000 to construct, and the builder on the project is Wilton-based PBC Builders Inc., the application said.
