New Construction Planned for Proprietors Crossing

Town officials on June 23 issued a permit to build a new, 5,175-square-foot house on a 4.07-acre Proprietors Crossing lot where a 1971-built, 3,325-square-foot Colonial had stood. The new home at 168 Proprietors Crossing will cost about $1 million to build, according to the permit. The contractor on the job is Stamford-based Skyview Builders LLC, building records show. It will have five bedrooms and full bathrooms, one half-bath, four fireplaces, finished attic and basement and a three-car garage, the permit said. ***

Building officials also issued a building permit for the two single-family residences planned for 126 Richmond Hill Road.

New Construction Planned for Gower Road, Charles Street

The town last week received an application to build a 4,500-square-foot home on a .28-acre Gower Road lot where a house nearly one-third that size had stood. The house planned for 52 Gower Road will cost an estimated $960,000 to construct, according to a building permit application filed May 19. It will include four bedrooms and a 2-car garage, it said. The property sold in September for $850,000 and the ranch-style house that had stood there came down in February, tax records show. The contractor on the construction job is New Canaan-based Mosolino Development LLC, architect is Michael Smith AIA of Norwalk.

New Construction Coming To Locust Avenue; Demo Permits on West, Jonathan Roads

Town officials on Monday received an application to build a new, more conforming two-family home on Locust Avenue where an 1880-built dwelling now stands. The house planned for 95 Locust Ave. will include about 3,790 square feet between two units, according to a building permit application. The contractor on the job is homeowner Chris Taroli and the architect is GreenTek Consulting Inc. of Westport, the application said. It will cost about $500,000 to build, it said.

New Construction Planned for Overlook Drive, Beech Road

A new 4,150-square-foot home is planned for a 1.02-acre Overlook Drive lot where a ranch had stood. The property at 144 Overlook Drive sold for $850,000 in November and the home that was there came down three months later, tax records show. The new home will include six bedrooms and full bathrooms, a half-bath, fireplaces, finished basement and 2-car garage, according to a building permit issued Tuesday. It will cost $900,000 to build, and the contractor on the job is Stamford-based Sky View Builders LLC, the permit said. ***

A 4,589-square-foot home is planned for 97 Beech Road, a 1.53-acre lot where a ranch-style house less than half that size came down earlier this month.

New Construction Planned for Jelliff Mill Road, Garibaldi Lane

Town officials on Thursday issued a permit to build a 4,087-square-foot home on a vacant, 1.05-acre lot on Garibaldi Lane. The five bedroom home at 90 Garibaldi Lane will include five bedrooms and full bathrooms, two half-baths, fireplaces, a finished attic and basement and two-car garage, according to a building permit issued April 21. The property is owned by a Ridgefield man, according to records on file with the Connecticut Secretary of the State. It will cost about $850,000 to build, the permit said. The contractor on the job is Ridgefield-based Reed Whipple of Heritage Home Construction, it said.
