A 2-acre Skyview Lane property will see a new 6,800-square-foot home go in, according to a building permit application filed Thursday with the town.
Number 114 Skyview sold in June for $1,050,000, tax records show. The principal of the company that purchased it is a Redding man, according to the Connecticut Secretary of the State.
A large portion of the property has been clear-cut of trees, though a 1966 Colonial toward the back of the lot was still standing on Friday. A demolition permit application has not been filed.
The planned new home, which includes a 3-car garage, would approximately double the amount of livable square footage in the home. Though the building permit application does not specify numbers of rooms, it says the home will include about 5,800 square feet on the first two floors and a finished third floor with 1,000 square feet of living space.
The contractor is listed as Fletcher Development LLC, the architect Ridgefield-based Mose Associates Architects.
