37-Year-Old Man Charged for Illegal Use of Credit Card

More

Police last week arrested a 37-year-old Florida man by warrant and charged him with third-degree identity theft, illegal use of a payment card and receipt of money, goods or services obtained by illegal use of a credit card.

The charges stem from a November 2019 complaint from a victim who told authorities their credit card had been used by a third party without their permission, according to a police report.

The card was used to buy a round-trip airline ticket from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. to Newark, N.J., the report said.

Police obtained the name of the passenger and secured a warrant for his arrest, it said.

At about 11 p.m. last Friday, police took custody of the Deerfield Beach, Fla. man at Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville, the report said.

He was released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear June 8 in state Superior Court.

Also, we would not publish your comment as submitted since it names the arrested individual here. We do not publish the names of arrested people in cases such as this, even if they’re good at their jobs.
