Police on Monday arrested a 66-year-old Norwalk woman accused of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash at Saxe Middle School.
At about 6:16 p.m. on June 12, officers dispatched to the school on a report of a vehicle backing out of a parking space, striking another car and leaving the scene, according to police.
Following an investigation, police identified the Norwalk woman as the operator of the suspect vehicle, according to a police report.
She turned herself in at 8 p.m.
Police charged her with unsafe backing and evading responsibility. The woman was released after promising to appear June 26 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
