A new 7,650-square-foot home is planned for a 1.31-acre Thurton Drive parcel purchased last month.
The five-bedroom house at 98 Thurton Drive will include six full bathrooms, a half bath and finished basement with media, recreation, wine and exercise rooms, according to a building permit application received Nov. 16 by the New Canaan Building Department.
Located in the 2-acre zone, the property was purchased Oct. 20 for $810,000, tax records show. The ownership LLC’s principals include residents of Jericho and Ardsley, N.Y.
It will cost about $800,000 to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job is Jericho-based Woodcrest Homes, the architect Wilton-based Dennis Peters Designs.
