Police last week arrested a 71-year-old New Canaan woman and charged her with driving under the influence.
At about 10:20 p.m. on Sept. 1, officers were dispatched to Lambert Road on a report of a single-car crash, police said.
There, officers saw the vehicle, which had struck a rock wall, according to a police report. Police identified the Weed Street woman as the driver and, on speaking with her, detected signs of impairment, according to the report.
After administering field sobriety tests, police took her into custody on the drunk driving charge, it said. She refused to undergo a test to establish her blood-alcohol level, the report said.
Police additionally cited her for failure to drive right.
She was released on $400 bond and scheduled to appear Nov. 2 in state Superior Court.
