Police last Thursday morning arrested a 46-year-old Wilton man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 10:01 a.m. on Aug. 22, an SUV disobeyed a stop signal from an officer working an extra-duty assignment conducting traffic control in the area of Silvermine and Fable Farm Roads, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, the officer found signs of impairment in the driver. After completing field sobriety tests, police brought the misdemeanor charge, the report said.
The man provided a urine sample during processing.
He was released on $300 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 4 in state Superior Court.
