A motorist involved in a two-car accident that occurred May 7 at the Carter Street intersection, the woman tested at more than twice the legal blood-alcohol limit following toxicology tests secured through a search warrant, according to a police report.
Officers at about 6:12 p.m. that day—a Saturday, the day of the May Fair—were dispatched to the intersection on a report of a two-car accident, the report said.
One person was transported to Norwalk Hospital with minor injuries as a result of the accident, which caused a rollover.
They charged the woman with driving under the influence. She turned herself in to police at 10:10 p.m. on June 10. Police released her on $260 bond and scheduled her to appear June 24 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
