Police on Thursday evening arrested a 58-year-old New Canaan man by warrant in connection with a crash earlier this month.
At about 7:55 p.m. on Oct. 5, a Wednesday, officers were dispatched to Park Place on a report of a head-on crash where the operator who caused the collision fled the scene on foot, according to a police report.
Following an investigation, police determined that the person who had left lived on nearby Fairty Drive, the report said.
He was charged with evading responsibility and cited for failure to drive right.
At about 5:49 p.m. on Oct. 20, he turned himself in at police headquarters.
Police released him on $2,500 bond and scheduled him to appear Oct. 31 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
