Police late Tuesday arrested a 32-year-old Stamford man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 9:50 p.m. on Aug. 31, officers were dispatched to the area of South Avenue and Farm Road on a report of a road rage incident involving two motorists, police said.
The officers identified the Stamford man as one of the drivers of a vehicle that had been involved in an earlier incident in that city, according to a police report.
On speaking with him, police saw signs of impairment, the report said.
He was taken into custody and transported to headquarters, it said. The man refused to provide a sample to establish his blood-alcohol level, it said.
Police additionally charged the man with driving without a license.
He was released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 14 in state Superior Court.
