New Canaan Library and Elm Street Books are pleased to present an evening with author Alice Elliot Dark. Please join them on Wednesday, September 21st at 6PM at The Country Club of New Canaan for a cocktail hour conversation with Ms. Dark and her editor, Marysue Rucci. The conversation will center on Ms. Dark’s most recent novel, Fellowship Point.

A beautifully woven, multilayered narrative, Fellowship Point tells the story of a lifelong friendship between Agnes Lee and Polly Garner. Two very different women with shared histories and buried secrets, they are tested in the twilight of their lives to determine the fate of their shared idyllic property, on Fellowship Point, Maine.

Alice Elliott Dark is the author of the novels Fellowship Point and Think of England, and two collections of short stories, In The Gloaming and Naked to the Waist. Her work has appeared in, among others, The New Yorker, Harper’s, DoubleTake, Ploughshares, A Public Space, Best American Short Stories, Prize Stories: The O.Henry Awards, and has been translated into many languages. “In the Gloaming,” a story, was chosen by John Updike for inclusion in The Best American Short Stories of The Century and was made into films by HBO and Trinity Playhouse. Her non-fiction reviews and essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and many anthologies.
