Rachel Imbrogno, senior manager Brand Development for the well-known wine company Freixenet Mionetto, will be the guest speaker at the New Canaan Men’s Club meeting July 7 in Morrill Hall at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
Imbrogno has more than 15 years experience in the Italian wine industry. In her current position, she focuses on sales and education about the distributor’s portfolio of wines, spearheading all levels of procurement for wine producers. Aside from her remarks about the distinctive qualities of Italian wines, Imbrogno will bring with her some featured wines for members to sample during her talk.
The club’s regular meeting will begin at 10 a.m. with Imbrogno’s remarks expected to begin around 10:30 a.m., following the business portion of the meeting.
Imbrogno is certified by the Masters Sommelier Association. Before joining Freixenet Mionetto, she was a tour guide in Tuscany, Umbria and the Veneto. She received her masters in Italian from Middlebury College and a B.S. in Education from the University of Vermont.
