For the second time in one week, a New Canaan man was accused Monday of violating a restraining order.
Police said they received a report of the most recent violation at about 3:29 p.m. Monday.
The arrested man, a 23-year-old Dogwood Lane resident, was not to have any contact with the protected party, and violated that condition, according to a police report.
He was taken into custody at about 7:06 p.m. Tuesday at the Double Tree Inn in Norwalk, the report said.
Police charged him with criminal violation of a restraining order and first-degree violation of conditions of release.
It isn’t clear what is the reason for the order, what its conditions are, how the man violated him or what is his relationship with the victim. Police withheld details, saying it was a domestic matter.
The same man had been charged May 23 with criminal violation of a restraining order and released on $3,000 bond.
This time, he was held on $50,000 bond and scheduled to appear Wednesday in state Superior Court.
