Police on Monday afternoon arrested a 55-year-old New Canaan woman by warrant and charged her with criminal violation of a protective order.
At about 2:11 p.m. on Oct. 1, officers received a report of the violation, according to police.
The incident amounted to a family dispute, according to a police report.
The arrested woman gave an address of Raymond Street, the report said.
It isn’t clear what prompted the protective order or felony charge, how the arrested woman is related to the victim, what were the conditions of the protective order, how long it’s been in place or just how she ran afoul of its terms. Police withheld details because it’s a family matter.
She came into police custody at state Superior Court in Stamford.
Police held the woman on $15,000 bond and scheduled her to appear Tuesday in court.
