The New Canaan Building Department on Tuesday received an application to build a 4,007-square-foot home, with a 1,132-square-foot finished basement, on Douglas Road.
The three-bedroom house planned for 59 Douglas Road will include three full bathrooms on the second floor, one full bathroom in the basement and a half-bath on the first floor, according to the building permit application.
It will cost about $1.3 million to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job is Coastal Luxury Homes of Westport, the architect James Schettino Architects of New Canaan, it said.
The .27-acre property, including a 1947-built ranch-style house, was purchased last September for $1.1 million, tax records show. The town issued a demolition permit for that house in December.
