The New Canaan Building Department on Oct. 20 received an application for a 4,799-square-foot home on Green Avenue.
The five-bedroom house planned for 31 Green Ave. will include five full bathrooms and two half-baths (11 rooms total), according to the building permit application.
It will cost about $1,750,0000 to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job is yet-to-be-determined, the architect Christopher Pagliaro Architects of Darien.
A demolition permit was obtained in August for the 1923-built, 2,142-square-foot home there, according to building records.
The .34-acre property had been purchased in May for $1,225,000, tax records show.
