The New Canaan Building Department last week received an application to construct an 8,500-square-foot home on a 1.02-acre parcel on Toquam Road.
The six-bedroom home planned for 51 Toquam Road will include an attached garage, new driveway, expanded septic system and patio, according to the application filed Jan. 4.
It will cost about $950,000 to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job is Westport-based Coastal Luxury Homes, the architect Westport-based Tanner Whtie Architects, it said.
The property was purchased for $952,000 in July 2018, tax records show. The town in November 2018 issued a demolition permit for the three-bedroom, 2,257-square-foot Cape that stood there.
