Police on Monday arrested a Westchester juvenile by warrant and charged him wth reckless driving.
He turned himself in on a warrant stemming from a single-car crash on Oenoke Ridge Road last month.
Officers were dispatched at about 10:42 p.m. on Feb. 20 to Oenoke Ridge near Lukes Wood Road, according to a police report. There, they found a vehicle at rest in a wooded area off the road, the report said. It had crashed through a large Frontier Communications box and impacted a tree, the report said.
Police spoke with the young Chappaqua, N.Y. man who had been driving the vehicle—because he’s younger than 18 the department is withholding his name— and he told them the car went off the roadway while traveling northbound on Oenoke, with no further investigation.
After police obtained the warrant, the juvenile turned himself in to police at 11 a.m. Monday. He was released on $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear April 6 in court.
