‘A Very Generous, Kind Person’: New Canaanites Describe Local Woman Missing Since Last Week

New Canaanites who know the local woman missing since last Friday describe her as a friendly and intelligent person who is fiercely dedicated to her children. Jennifer Dulos, 50, was reported missing at about 7:30 p.m. on May 24, according to police. She last was seen driving a black SUV in New Canaan, police said. A Brown University graduate with five children at New Canaan Country School, Dulos is an “amazing mother” and “lovely person,” according to Hannelore Kaplan, who came to know the family as a Realtor. “She would do anything for anyone,” Kaplan said.

Police: Missing Woman Last Seen Driving Black SUV in New Canaan on Friday

Police on Monday night released information on the vehicle that a missing local woman last was seen driving. Jennifer Dulos, 50, was driving a black Chevrolet Suburban in New Canaan when she last was seen on Friday, according to Police Lt. Jason Ferraro, the New Canaan Police Department’s public information officer. 

Local and state police are still trying to find Dulos, Ferraro said in a press release. It wasn’t immediately clear if investigators have identified persons of interest in connection with Dulos case, whether she went missing under unusual circumstances, just where in town she was seen driving or whether police have located the vehicle. Police received a report at 7:30 p.m. on May 24 that she was missing, officials have said. The agencies’ investigation is ongoing, Ferraro said.

Police Search for Missing Woman

New Canaan and state police on Friday night launched a search for a woman reported missing, officials said. A Silver Alert has been issued for Jennifer Dulos, 50, according to New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski. Police received a report that she was missing at about 7:30 p.m. on May 24, he said in a press release. “New Canaan Police with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police initiated a search and an investigation both of which are ongoing,” Krolikowski said. It wasn’t immediately clear how long she has been missing, where she was last seen, under what circumstances she went missing or who reported her as missing.
