Police on Monday arrested a 53-year-old New Canaan woman by warrant and charged her with delivery of alcohol to a minor.
On May 7, police took a complaint through the state Department of Children and Families about the woman providing alcohol to a minor, officials said.
The minor had been found in Stamford, drunk, and was later transported to Stamford Hospital for treatment of intoxication, according to a police report.
The emergency room staff at the hospital contacted DCF regarding the minor, the report said.
Following an investigation, police determined that the woman had provided alcohol to a minor on May 7 at her Pastures Lane home, it said.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for the criminal charge.
She was released on $25,000 bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 16 in state Superior Court.
