A 17-year-old New Canaan man faces two felony charges after knocking out his father at home following an argument last week, police say.
Police at 6:25 p.m. on Aug. 6 (Wednesday) responded to a report of the altercation at a Stonehenge Drive home, where the dad had come to after being hit once, according to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc of the New Canaan Police Department.
The teen had already damaged his own car (a Chrysler) in the driveway of the home as well as items inside the home when his father, 54, arrived and an argument ensued, Ogrinc said.
The teen faces second-degree assault and first-degree criminal mischief charges, both felonies, as well as disorderly conduct, police said.
The son was transferred to a juvenile detention center in Bridgeport, police said.
