Two dogs were found roaming in New Canaan Sunday night after they ran off-property during the Family Fourth fireworks at Waveny, according to police. One dog was found on Orchard Drive at about 9:20 p.m., the other at Route 123 and Silvermine Road at 10:13 p.m.

Police at 6:17 p.m. on July 1 arrested a 42-year-old Norwalk woman and charged her with second-degree failure to appear. She was stopped on South Avenue for driving with a suspended license plate, police said. During the stop, police found that there was an active re-arrest warrant out for the woman. She had been arrested by Wilton Police in March on several motor vehicle-related charges, according to Connecticut Judicial Branch records.
